Welcome to February’s Bader Academy Briefing!
The project continues to progress at great pace (even through the night with the looks of Wilmott Dixon’s latest photos!) The mild winter is helping to ensure that all build milestones are being met (even a week ahead of schedule at the last check) but maybe we shouldn’t tempt fate saying this as Storm Ciara is due to hit this weekend!
Adverts have gone live today for the Head of School, Assistant Head and teaching positions at the school. Teaching Assistant posts are due to follow in March. If you are interested in applying to be part of the Bader team then you can visit the TES website for full information on all posts and the recruitment details: www.nyresourcing.co.uk/bader-academy
Don’t forget that if you haven’t already responded, we would really appreciate you spending a few minutes to complete the short questionnaire included on the Bader website to tell us what you think of the school.
Wendy McCleave, Douglas Bader’s step-daughter and co-founder of the Sir Douglas Bader Foundation, has recently been in touch to say... “Bader Academy promises to be such a great place for youngsters with Communication and Interaction Difficulties. I know that Douglas would be proud and delighted to have his name associated with such a positive institution. It's exciting and such a lovely accolade that his name will live on in this way.” What wonderful feedback to have!
