Welcome to August’s Bader Academy Briefing!
Getting Ready to Open!
Only 3 weeks to go now until we open the doors at Bader at the Bridge (Bader Academy’s temporary accommodation until the new school opens in January). The former Levett School has had some improvement works carried out over the summer and is ready to welcome the first pupils on 15th September. Parents/carers and pupils will be invited to visit the site before it opens to have a look around and ask any questions that they may have. Here is the new logo that has been developed especially for the site.
School Site and Building
The Bader Academy Project Board had a visit to the school site last week and were blown away by the progress being made. The school is such an amazing space and is going to have incredible facilities for its pupils to use. Wilmott Dixon are aiming for the school to be handed over to Nexus Multi-Academy Trust in the Autumn. This will provide opportunities for the school to be visited by pupils, parents and carers to help with their transition into the school ahead of them formally starting there in January.
All Bader Academy staff have been recruited and have already started looking at the vision, ethos and curriculum content for the school. The staff will undergo a period of two week’s training and development at the beginning of September to come together as a team and focus on delivering high quality teaching. We are really lucky in that we have a highly skilled, passionate and motivated team ready to welcome the first cohort of pupils and beyond.
